Paprika is the dried, ground pods of sweet red peppers. It is mild and slightly sweet with a pleasant, fragrant aroma. Hungary is a major source of paprika and thus it is more commonly used. It is available in grades ranging from the mildest, very sweet, with a deep bright red colour to light brown in color which is the hottest paprika - the most commonly exported paprika being bright red and slightly pungent.

Culinary Applications
